Rachel Murphy expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that Toto (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Rachel claims that a groomer taped Toto r’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Rachel told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Toto r's feet were visible red and damaged, with toenails that were too close to paws. This likely triggered Toto r biting.
Wow! My Dog mobile pet salon employed the groomer in question.
Rachel took Toto right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas, a customer of Wow! My Dog, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.
Bad Review
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Wow! My Dog wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. Rachel stated, "Juliann informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it animal abuse email is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."
Gate News called Wow! My Dog and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Gate News that they were looking into the allegations. When asked about Wow! My Dog, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
